The latest snapshot builds of Cyberduck have improved performance and interoperability with thirdparty S3 cloud storage providers such as Dunkel Cloud Storage and Eucalyptus Walrus implementations. Let me know if you run your own cloud storage and run into interopability issues with Cyberduck.
Ticket Driven Development
We are currently in a phase of ticket driven development trying to squash out as many as possible bugs for the upcoming 3.6 release. The statistics don’t look bad at all.
Update:As of November 29 we are now at a new record low level of 77 tickets of which 20 issues are defects including the new reported for Cyberduck for Windows.
Versioning
Amazon S3, the cloud storage service Cyberduck can connect to, supports a versioning feature. This allows to revert to previous revisions of a file replaced in S3. The latest snapshot build of Cyberduck supports versioning in S3 in the following way:
- Toggle the versioning status using File → Info → S3
- Display previous versions and deleted files in the browser using View → Show Hidden Files. Past revisions are displayed in a grey text colour and can be downloaded or permanently deleted like regular files.
- Revert files to a previous version using File → Revert or the Browser context menu.
- Optionally enabling Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Delete
Google Storage
In addition to the existing cloud storage providers Amazon S3 and Rackspace Cloudfiles, support for the recently announced Google Storage is on track. Interested parties having access to the currently invite-only service in Google Labs are welcome to give it a try using the latest snapshot build of Cyberduck.
New Localizers needed!
I am looking for new maintainers of the Russian (ru.lproj), Korean (ko.lproj), Thai (th.lproj), Indonesian (id.lproj), Polish (pl.lproj), Hungarian (hu.lproj) and Chinese (Traditional Characters) (zh_TW.lproj) localizations in Cyberduck. Please spread the word and let me know if you would like to contribute. The existing translations can be found at http://svn.cyberduck.ch/trunk/ (look for the *.strings files) and are already fairly complete but not updated with the latest changes. You should subscribe to the localization mailing list to receive further updates.
Reduced Redundancy Storage (RRS) option
Support for the recently announced Reduced Redundancy Storage (RRS) option to reduce costs by storing non-critical, reproducible data at lower levels of redundancy than the standard storage of Amazon S3 is now implemented in the latest nigthly snapshot build.

Slovenian Localization
The Slovenian (Slovenščina) localization by Jan Jamsek and Marko Kastelic will be available in the upcoming 3.5 release.
Google Docs
As of the current snapshot build, you can enable support for Google Docs to access your documents from within Cyberduck.
- It allows you to download documents to various export formats.
- Uploads documents to your Google Docs account for storage or choose to convert documents to Google Docs format.
- Optionally convert images to Google Docs text document using Optical Character Recognition (OCR).
Read more about Google Docs support in the Wiki. Note that this is a preliminary feature currently in development and might still have some quirks. Please report them to the issue tracker.
